Walt Disney Co. awards 2018 Golden Joystick Awards winner

Disney and Walt Disney Animation Studios are celebrating the 25th Golden Joysticks Award, an industry honor that honors the work of the people who make entertainment for children and families.
The awards honor individuals who have created, created, or have created innovative new shows and features, while also honoring individuals who create, create, or create original entertainment and services.
The Golden Joys award is given annually to individuals who provide value to the industry, in addition to creating or creating innovative new entertainment and content.
The recipients of the 2018 Golden Joyce awards are: • Walt Disney Television Animation, which has produced shows such as The Muppet Show, Bob’s Burgers, and The Lion King; • Walt Walt Disney Studios, which is responsible for producing animated feature films including The Little Mermaid, Monsters University, Finding Nemo, and Cars; • Disney Animation Arts, which includes such animated projects as The Great Mouse Detective, Pocahontas, and Finding Dory; • The Walt Disney Dreamworks Animation Company, which produced The Little Pig, Pocohontas and Pocahouste; • DreamWorks Animation, a division of the Walt Disney Company, responsible for the live-action feature film, The Jungle Book, which earned the highest-grossing debut of any film in its franchise; • Pixar Animation Studios, a subsidiary of Disney that has produced more than 30 feature films, including Toy Story 3, Inside Out, and Up; and • Pixar, a Pixar Animation Studio that is responsible, with Disney, for the animated films Cars 3, The Incredibles 2, Finding Dories, and Monsters University.
The 2018 GoldenJoysticks Award was announced on December 17, 2018 at the Disney Consumer Products Show in Orlando, Florida.
The ceremony also honored award winners who have been awarded with the 2018 Disney Consumer Product of the Year, as well as the 2018 Walt Disney Creative Achievement Award for Excellence in Animation, and the 2018 National Education Award for Outstanding Achievement in Animation Education.
The winners of the 2019 Golden Joyses will be announced during the 2019 National Awards Ceremony in Orlando on February 26, 2019.

The 2017 Golden Joyls were announced on February 27, 2018 and featured a panel of award-winning artists, including: • Joe Johnston, the Walt Pixar Animation Co. veteran behind such classic Pixar titles as Monsters University and Cars 3; • Michael Eisner, the longtime executive who was responsible for founding and leading Pixar Animation, including Cars, Cars 2, Cars 3 and Monsters Inc.; • John DiMaggio, who created the character of Buzz Lightyear, a character that has remained in the Pixar Animation universe since Cars 2; • John Lasseter, the Disney CEO who has overseen the development of Pixar Animation and Disney Digital Studios; • Tim Miller, who helped to create the characters and storylines for many Pixar animated features including Toy Soldiers, Cars, The Lion and the Unicorn, and Toy Story; and
