Taylor Swift’s ‘I Wanna Be Yours’ wins best song at Billboard Music Awards

The Best Song at Billboard’s 100 Most Popular Songs Awards has been announced by the Recording Industry Association of America, with Taylor Swift, Drake, Justin Bieber and The Chainsmokers all making their way to the stage to win the prestigious award.
The award was previously given to Beyoncé for “Formation,” and Beyoncé’s “Waka Flocka Flame,” as well as Rihanna’s “The Monster.”
The other two nominees, Drake and The Weeknd, will both be performing on the Billboard stage on Wednesday.
The two winners will be announced at 7 p.m.
ET on Thursday.
The Billboard Music Award was originally established in 1996 to honor artists whose music is widely appreciated in their communities and who have been widely honored with awards.
The show has since become a global phenomenon, with a record of 10 nominees and five winners being announced in the last two years.
Since its inception in 1996, the awards have been given out by the National Music Publishers Association and the Recording Academy.
The awards have gone on to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the National Recording Museum and the Library of Congress.
The awards ceremony was held on the first day of the 2017 Billboard Music Week at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
