Best Blues Album of 1998The award for the Best Dance Performance of the 20th Century will go to David Bowie’s ‘The Next Day’, which was broadcast live on the BBC on July 12, 1980.
Bowie, who died on August 13, 2017, won the award for Best Dance Album.
The award will be presented in two rounds, with the first winner announced at the awards ceremony on July 15.
The next winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles on July 22.
For the 20 years following, the nominees are determined by a vote by the BBC.
Each of the awards will be voted on by the public, with one nomination received every year.
The nominees are chosen by the Radio Times editorial board, who have a 20-year record of nominating the nominees.
