Posted October 04, 2018 09:00:00 Microsoft unveiled the world first fully autonomous car on Monday, and it has a self built version on the way.
The vehicle, called Project Titan, is a vehicle that will be used for testing the car’s AI.
It is the first time a fully self driven vehicle has been used for a purpose outside of testing, according to Microsoft.
“We are building a car for self-reliance.
We are not building a supercar, but we are building an all-electric vehicle that’s built for people who don’t have access to a car,” said John Tejada, head of Microsoft’s autonomous vehicle program.
Titan is powered by a two-cylinder, electric motor, which is connected to a battery pack.
“The car has a powertrain that’s a combination of batteries, a solar cell and a bunch of sensors.
It has a lot of the sensors and the computer to help it understand what it sees,” Tejda told reporters at a news conference.
“So it will be able to make decisions in its environment.
And if you look at the way it will interact with people, it will have a lot more capabilities than what it would have in a conventional car.”
Tejuda said that the company is planning to roll out the car to its customers later this year.
“It’s going to be a big leap forward.
But it will probably take us years,” he said.
The project is the brainchild of the company’s Autonomy Lab, and Tejeda says that the lab has been working on the vehicle since its inception.
“I think that this is the next phase for the Autonomy Labs.
And we are really excited about this project,” he added.
Tesla announced a self driving car in September.
The company plans to use Titan as a testing ground for a car that can take on traffic jams, as well as take on humans, for testing purposes.
“There are a lot things that can happen in the future,” said Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla.
“But what I can tell you is that in a certain way this is a pretty big leap.
The whole goal is to go from zero to self-propelled car.
I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been asked to go in the opposite direction.”
TeJada said that Titan has a range of roughly 300 miles, with an average speed of 40 miles per hour.
It will be equipped with a fully autonomous system, which will be controlled by a laptop.
Tejadas comments were similar to Tesla’s.
“Tesla has already made a great investment in their own vehicle, but this is very much in line with their investment in self driving cars,” he told reporters.
Tesla is also building an automated vehicle that is similar to Project Titan.
The automaker plans to roll it out to its customer base this year, according of Tejados statements.
The Tesla CEO has said that a Tesla car would have a range comparable to the range of a Nissan Leaf, and that the vehicle would cost $40,000.
However, Tesla has not yet confirmed if the vehicle will have any autonomous capabilities.
