On Tuesday, Billboard Music awards will go to a new format, with the Billboard Awards Committee recommending that the 2017 awards be moved from its current format of online voting, which will continue to be available for anyone to vote online, to a traditional radio broadcast with an online component.
The 2018 Billboard Music award is one of the only ones not to be broadcast on radio and has never been broadcast on television, with only three awards being broadcast on network television.
The 2017 Billboard Music Award is scheduled to be given on Monday, July 29, at 8 p.m.
ET on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on ABC.
In 2018, the awards will be broadcast live on ABC, and the awards show will air live on the Ellen De Generes Show.

Billboard also noted that it received over 300 million votes to select the winners for this year’s Billboard Music Album of the Year.
“The awards are the largest single-day voting platform in the history of the Billboard Music Prize, and we look forward to bringing the 2017 Billboard Awards to a larger audience, with a new platform and the ability to stream the awards live to fans online,” Billboard CEO and co-founder and chairman Paul D’Agostino said in a statement.
“This year’s awards are among the most watched and sought after music awards in the world, and this will help us create a new record for our fans and record-setting ratings for our shows.”
This year marks the 10th consecutive year Billboard has hosted the Billboard music awards.
In 2016, Billboard became the first media organization to hold a music awards show on television.
